A Parish Family, served by the Missionaries of St. Charles / Scalabrinians
In our desire to make everyone feel at home, we rely on the service of Ushers to welcome those who come to celebrate with us. They greet the faithful who enter our church; if necessary, guide them to their seat; take care of gathering the offerings and distribute our Sunday bulletin at the end of Mass.
If you feel the desire to share in this service, please call the Parish Office or provide your contact information to one of our ushers.
The extraordinary ministers of communion help the celebrant in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass. They also are entrusted with the task of bringing Holy Communion to the sick and homebound of our Parish. This ministry is a sacred and humble service, requiring deep faith, reverence and commitment to Christ’s presence in the Eucharist.
If you feel the Lord is calling you to serve as an extraodinary minister of Communion, please contact our Parish Office.
With music and song, we embellish our Liturgical Services, making sure the choir enhances our spiritual experience. This ministry elevates the prayers of the people and give glory to God through their voices and instruments, while making our worship more solemn and reverent.
If you are gifted in the musical field and wish to grace our celebrations as a choir member, please contact the choir director after mass.
The Altar Servers participate in our Liturgies and make sure our celebrations are dignified, inspiring and solemn. They are a visible sign of the Church’s liturgical life when assisting the Priest and Deacon in their sacred duties. They stand as representatives of the faithful while making sure the celebration flows with reverence and order.
The Liturgical Environment Committee’s main task is to prepare the sacred space for worship. The liturgical decorations and arrangements have the purpose of inspiring our parishioners to enter the sacred beauty of our liturgical celebrations, while experiencing the meaning and purpose of the liturgical season. The liturgical environment is meant to help elevate the community’s prayer and worship. “The Church evangelizes and is herself evangelized by beauty in the liturgy.” (Pope Francis EG)
The purpose of the pastoral council is to act as stewards of the parish mission and to advise the pastor on practical matters of parish life. The council studies the matters brought to its attention, reflects on them thoroughly, evaluates them and draws sound conclusions. The council presents these conclusions to the pastor in the form of recommendations. This threefold task of the council – investigating, considering and recommending conclusions – is called pastoral planning.
The Parish Finance Committee is formed by parishioners who are appointed to oversee the finances of the Parish. The committee is usually made up of volunteers who have a background in finance or accounting. They are responsible for ensuring that the financial resources of the church are being utilized in the best way possible. The Parish Finance Committee works closely with the parish priest and the church staff to manage the financial affairs of the church.
This committee is responsible for organizing the yearly Parish Festival which usually takes place the weekend before the Feast of the Holy Cross (September 14th). The committee is formed by the leaders of the different auxiliary Groups of the Parish and presided by the Pastor who is aided by the chairperson of the Committee.
A vibrant youth ministry ensures that young Catholics remain engaged in their faith not just as passive members but as disciples of Christ. It helps them discover that holiness is not something of the past, but a real and joyful calling for them today. In our youth group we want to understand and engage young people and to cultivate young leaders for our Church and the world.
The Worldwide Marriage Encounter experience is primarily a space for you to pause, reflect, and reconnect privately. The experience allows you to create a dialogue with each other and with God, to create a higher and broader understanding of what it means to be married. While faith is a powerful part of this process, the focus of the Marriage Encounter experience is on the ups and downs of married life.

Every Monday from 5:00pm to 9:30pm people gather to socialize and play BINGO. Their time together provides those who assist the opportunity to share each other’s presence while chatting, playing and socializing.
Parishioners who are 60+ years old gather once a month to share and celebrate life. Faith oriented reflections, crafts, games and refreshments are part of the gathering. Spiritual Growth, Social Connection and Faith formation are some of the benefits people encounter when coming together at this monthly meeting. For more information, please contact Bro. Charles at the Parish office or send us an email.
